Surah At-Taubah (The Repentance), Verse 114

وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ لِاَبِیْهِ اِلَّا عَنْ مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَّعَدَهَاۤ اِیَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَیَّنَ لَهٗۤ اَنَّهٗ عَدُوٌّ لِّلّٰهِ تَبَرَّاَ مِنْهُ اِنَّ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ لَاَوَّاهٌ حَلِیْمٌ ۟

Wa maa kaanas tighfaaru ibraaheema li abeehi illaa 'an maw'idatinw wa 'adahaaa iyyaahu falammaa tabaiyana lahooo annahoo 'aduwwul lillaahi tabarra a minh; inna Ibraaheema la awwaahun haleem

And Abraham prayed for his father's forgiveness only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him: for Abraham was most tender-hearted, forbearing.
