Al-Humazah

وَیْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةِ ۟

Wai lul-li kulli hu mazatil-lumaza

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter,

ݹلَّذِیْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗ ۟

Al-lazi jama'a maalaw wa'addadah

Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by,

یَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخْلَدَهٗ ۟

Yahsabu anna maalahu akhladah

Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!

كَلَّا لَیُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِی الْحُطَمَةِ 

Kalla layum ba zanna fil hutamah

By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces,

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ۟

Wa maa adraaka mal-hutamah

And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces?

نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُ ۟

Narul laahil-mooqada

(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze),

الَّتِیْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَی الْاَفْـِٕدَةِ ۟

Al latee tat tali'u 'alalafidah

The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:

اِنَّهَا عَلَیْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ۟

Innaha 'alaihim moosada

It shall be made into a vault over them,

فِیْ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ 

Fee 'amadim-mu mad dadah

In columns outstretched.
