Al-A'la

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْاَعْلَی ۟

Sabbihisma Rabbikal A'laa

Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,

الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ فَسَوّٰی ۟

Allazee khalaqa fasawwaa

Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;

وَالَّذِیْ قَدَّرَ فَهَدٰی ۟

Wallazee qaddara fahadaa

Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;

وَالَّذِیْۤ اَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعٰی ۟

Wallazeee akhrajal mar'aa

And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,

فَجَعَلَهٗ غُثَآءً اَحْوٰی ۟

Faja'alahoo ghusaaa'an ahwaa

And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسٰۤی ۟

Sanuqri'uka falaa tansaaa

By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,

اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللّٰهُ اِنَّهٗ یَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا یَخْفٰی ۟

Illaa maa shaaa'al laah; innahoo ya'lamul jahra wa maa yakhfaa

Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.

وَنُیَسِّرُكَ لِلْیُسْرٰی ۟

Wa nu-yassiruka lilyusraa

And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).

فَذَكِّرْ اِنْ نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرٰی ۟

Fazakkir in nafa'atizzikraa

Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).

سَیَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ یَّخْشٰی ۟

Sa yazzakkaru maiyakhshaa

The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah):

وَیَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْاَشْقَی ۟

Wa yatajannabuhal ashqaa

But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones,

الَّذِیْ یَصْلَی النَّارَ الْكُبْرٰی ۟

Allazee yaslan Naaral kubraa

Who will enter the Great Fire,

ثُمَّ لَا یَمُوْتُ فِیْهَا وَلَا یَحْیٰی ۟

Summa laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa

In which they will then neither die nor live.

قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكّٰی ۟

Qad aflaha man tazakkaa

But those will prosper who purify themselves,

وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهٖ فَصَلّٰی ۟

Wa zakaras ma Rabbihee fasallaa

And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُوْنَ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَا ۟

Bal tu'siroonal hayaatad dunyaa

Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world;

وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَیْرٌ وَّاَبْقٰی ۟

Wal Aakhiratu khairunw wa abqaa

But the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

اِنَّ هٰذَا لَفِی الصُّحُفِ الْاُوْلٰی ۟

Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa

And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),-

صُحُفِ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ وَمُوْسٰی 

Suhufi Ibraaheema wa Moosaa

The Books of Abraham and Moses.
